The Terminal

Okay, so its not Monday. Yesterday I spent the entire day trying to get my house looking like Christmas--what a mess! Anyway, for those of you who are interested I have made notes throughout the weekend so I could share our journey with you.

This has potential to be long so I think I will break it up into several posts instead of one hugeee.

On the Road--Day 1

Arrived at the brand spankin' new T.O. airport. B--E--A--U--tiful. As soon as we checked our bags and walked in towards the gates, we were greeted by the familiar green letters that read, "Starbucks" aahhh, what a great way to start. I treated Steve to a coffee (with his money), we sat down in the newly designed cafe and had a great chance to talk with no interruptions or distractions. We talked about old times and future hopes and dreams.

Time to go through security. As I walked through there was a resounding beeeeep! I had to remove my 80% metal belt-go figure! Then after he scanned my coffee I was set free. We continued on our way.

Heading towards the gate there were these awesome moving sidewalks. Okay, so nothing special, we've all seen them but I have never actually gone on one before. "Steve! let's take a ride on the moving sidewalk just for fun!" We did. It was great. No walking, just standing enjoying the ride. I had my back against the direction we were going, laughing making jokes when all of a sudden the sidewalk ended! Ooops, that was close. Thankfully Steve warned me just in the nick of time. That would have been sooo embarrassing.

Went into the store and bought some over-priced york peppermint bites for the trip. We found our gate and sat down. That's when we realized we were both wearing the same colour denim jeans with the cuffs folded. Great! Steve insisted he had his on first.

As we sat there waiting to board, I was scanning the crowd. Lots of faces, void of any expression, folded arms and moustaches. Then I looked across the way and secretly made fun of the "lazys" taking the moving sidewalk instead of walking!!!!
