It's the best of jobs. It's the most difficult of jobs. It can bring you the greatest joy. It can cause you the greatest pain. There is nothing as fulfilling and exhilarating. There is nothing so depleting and exhausting. No area of your life can make you feel more like a success when everything is going well. No area of your life can make you feel more like a failure when things go wrong. ~ Stormie Omartian
I'll be honest, I have struggled with my kids and my parenting more over the past few weeks than ever before. I have had days when I just want to quit. But something tells me they have never needed me more than over these past few weeks. They need more patience and understanding because they are just as stressed about all the change as I am. They have resorted to nail biting, constant bickering and restless nights. I hope I can give them what they need to further adjust and I hope they remember the art of listening and obeying.
Most of all, I hope they never stop taking a moment to stop what they are doing, wrap their arms around my legs and say, "I love you mommy...so much!" That one little word sure helps me gain perspective and get through my day!

I am praying for extra patience for you. This is a difficult time for all of you, but for what it's worth, your children are blessed to have parents who understand why they are behaving the way they are right now. Too often parents don't look beyond the problem to the source. Well done!-LB
Thanks for being so human and real. I love that about you.
