Weekend in Review

Easter weekend went well. Good Friday at our house was just what i had hoped for...right down to the kids. There were 17of us (+5 kids) sitting around our living room. We journeyed through the stations of the cross, reflected on the last words of Jesus and then shared in communion and prayer together. Very simple and intimate. Then of course hot cross buns.....gotta have those.

Saturday is when we have the commercial Easter with the kids, the easter egg hunt, and the goody basket. Never anything much or elaborate and never will be. we have never done the Easter Bunny myth. It is so fun hiding the eggs and watching their excitement as they find them in the cupboards, drawers and amongst the fruit in the fruit bowl.

Sunday we had an awesome time in worship with a gripping message on doubting the reality and presence of the living God. The truth that we do get shaken in our faith and we do have periods of doubt but that God meets us there. After worship we shared the late afternoon and dinner with friends wich I enjoyed very much. I love getting together in that way, and I love my kids being with other kids...even when they don't always act appropriately.

The boys are on spring break which is going to make our week interesting and busy. We have to keep them occupied and entertained whil we get our work done. We are planning a short trip to Edmonton to take them to West Ed. Hope it's fun.

Hope ya'll have a good week.
