I have a lot on my mind today. There are things that are weighing on me, decisions that need to be made and even things that I'm excited about.
But I feel like a fool mentioning those in light of the devastation in New Orleans. Anything that I am facing pales in comparison to that, so in these days I'm going to lift my eyes out of my own scope and situation and focus on others through prayer.
Please donate to The Salvation Army, the Red Cross, or any other recognized charity giving aid.

I feel exactly the same way. The world has been bombarded with images of New Orleans and it is making everyone realize how useless we are to help unless we are able to give to the aid/organizations donating food, clothing and more. What really needs to be done is just to GET THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH ALREADY OUT OF THERE!!!!!!! Prayers from here as well. Just heard Mariah Carey's version of "Hero" on the radio and just about lost it. This awful and devastating situation is affecting so many people. I hope they get New Orleans evacuated soon. It's so hard to hear of the awful situations people are in, the violence and rapes and everything else. It is literally a free-for-all.
Hey Leslie,
Here I am in Edmonton, missing everyone a lot! Say hi to everyone at South Meadows for me.
