We had so much food left over from yesterday that we were able to have turkey dinner again tonight.
During supper, 6 year-old was thinking, thinking hard. He must have been reflecting on everything he's learned about thanksgiving, all that we did, and what others in his class shared....
Joel: "Mom, did you buy our turkey or did you have to KILL it?"
Me (smiling): "No honey, I bought it."
Joel: "Mom, did you know you don't have to BUY pumpkin pie? Did you know you can actually buy pumpkins, cut them up and make a pie? ....Can you believe that?
Me: "No son, I can't believe it."

Wow! Is he TRYING to make you feel like you took the easy way out? Why didn't you march out there, kill the turkey and then make a pumpkin with your BARE hands??!! Kids are just the cutest. They learn new little tidbits and can't wait to share what they know...even if it sometimes make us feel like crap! I got a chuckle out of this...thanks for brightening my day and glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. We did too!
WHAT is wrong with you Leslie??? GEEZ! I cannot believe you didn't kill your own turkey and then you had the nerve to buy a pumpkin pie instead of slaving yourself and making your own! How disgusting...lol.
Ok ya so I am so kidding:) How cute....kids crack me up with the stuff they come out with! What a smart little guy.
