Mmmmm.....
It smells like Christmas in here. Candles and evergreen and cherry pound cake baking in the oven. Finally, we finished decorating the house inside and out. It took a good three days! Finally we are able to put up our 8' tree that we never had room for before. I love having a tree that is taller than me and touches the ceiling, even if it was a bugger to reach and decorate. My 50 feet of ribbon kept getting tangled but it is oh so beautiful and worth the effort. Too bad it wasn't mid November so we have more time to enjoy. For now I am resting in the stillness of the night. No TV no music, no kids just peace and quiet and comfort smells and twinkling lights.

And mine shall go up on Saturday with the help of the youth group girls. Perhaps when they leave I'll be able to revel in the stillness!!!!!

Why can't you leave the tree up a little later? That way you get to enjoy it after the hustle & bustle?
because Christmas will be over, and when it's over it's over!
