"Holiday who-be what-ee??"

It is true that you learn something new everyday!

Today Jacob (grade 3) came home and had to write a Diamante poem for his homework. My response was, "I haven't one sweet clue what that is!" Ask me to help you with a Limerick, no problem-O but you lost me at "Dia...."

Thank goodness for Google! Here is what we discovered...

"Diamond-shaped poems with 7 lines. Incorporates oral, analytical thinking, reading and writing skills."

Without any furthr help, this is what he created...

Day
Sun, light
Playing, cooking, eating
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Friday
Sleeping, snoring, dreaming
Moon, dark
Night

Not too shabby!
