While Julia sleeps and Joel lays low, I put Chris Tomlin's Arriving on and have my own worship time while folding laundry. While some may call this music fluff and not deep or profound enough, it does for me all that it is intended to do...draw me into worship. After all, it matters not how much a song says or doesn't say, what matters is the state of the heart.
There are so many treasures on this CD but found this one particularly helpful today,
Indesribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
And you know them by name
You are amazing, God
All-powerful, untamable
Awestruck, we fall to our knees
As we humbly proclaim
You are amazing, God.

I was drawn to worship in a similar way this morning as I remain at home trying to recover...it does feel weird not to be at church but God has a way of meeting with us whereever we are. I hope your kids are feeling better.
....oh and not to worry...Peter is taking care of arranging for Sunday School this morning and he left with his empty pizza box for children's time!
This is totally unrelated, but what happened to Steve's blog?
I hope your children as well, soon.
You gotta learn to play the guitar!
Bring it!
Oh I love that song!!!
Missed you this morning at South Meadows, hopefully we'll both be there next Sunday!
I like your format on your blog by the way:)
I LOVE that song! We used to sing it in my church (Southview Alliance) in Caglary all the time. And Chris is one of my favorite worship artists too!
I'm not sure which Chris I am talking to, but Steve decided to give up blogging.
Leslie,
It's Chris Ash from back in Halifax. Sorry to hear Steve gave it up.
Well howdy Chris, how are things in Hfx? Any of you guys blogging?
