My Monday

Today was one of those days that was go-go-go, you know? And, although very tired and ready for bed, I feel good and useful like I am accomplishing stuff.

With drums and hockey sandwiched between afternoon and evening meetings I was on my game! Was able to have supper taking care of itself in the slow cooker and on the table after hockey, before homework leaving just enough time to get kids ready and in bed before evening meeting.

I brought Jacob to drum lessons and got to spend 30 mins all to myself in Value Village while waiting for him. What a treat! I am on the prowl for the original Polly Pockets. They are super tiny dolls and their whole house and what not is in one little case. Hard to explain but you can not buy them anymore. We found a couple at an outdoor flea market in Nelson last summer and Julia is fascinated by them and can occupy herself for a very long time.

I didn't find any, but a found a huge ball of hemp for $1!

When Jake was finished, we headed to the arena to meet up with the rest of the clan. I actually got to watch Joel play tonight which I rarely get to do. After their drills, they used the whole ice area (instead of half) for a game against another team. It was so cute. If you've ever been to a hockey game and have seen the little Timbits come and play between periods that's the league we're in. Joel is a timbit, and takes his game serious (a good serious).

This Sunday will be adventurous for him (and us). The Timbits and Flames are holding a hockey jamboree. Joel and his team get to play in the Saddledome, two games against two other Timbits teams. Then he gets to have a tour of the Flames dressing rooms and will receive free Hitmen tickets as well!

Had a great meeting tonight. Came away feeling very encouraged, refreshed and energized. It is amazing what can happen when people get together and share!

Rambling I know. 'Nuff said. Craving zzzzzz's.

Between me and you, we are going to be wearing orthopedic shoes soon with all the running around we do. Geez.
Good job with the slow cooking.

I remember Polly Pockets. My sister was really into them, so she had quite a collection! I don't think we have them anymore, but you could check out ebay. I'm sure they have some for sale.

Yes, you can get them on ebay, I was just hoping to be lucky and pay next to nothing ;)
