Today I felt like a taxi driver, transporting kids here and there. The first place I had to be was ballet. While buckling daughter in her seat belt, son joins me in the drive way. Son who is very pensive and likes to figure things out..how they work and such. Sometimes he is scolded for daydreaming at school when really he is "thinking."
Seeing the crease in his forehead from concentration he says, "Mom, toots are really bubbles."
I look at my watch, do I really want to have this conversation when I have ten minutes to get to the community center? I mean really, do we always have to talk about this stuff? I obliged, giving him my attention. "Really?" I ask, knowing there was more. "Yes they are bubbles, and if you toot in the air, you can't see them. BUT if you were to get in the water and toot...you would see that they are bubbles."
"Wow son, that is so interesting! You are so smart!"
Oh my, I hope life always stays this interesting and that he is always willing to share his 'findings' with me.

Ha...my son just figured out that today in the bath!
That kid has a real future ahead of him. I was twice his age before I figured out the bubble thing.
lol....thats so awesome. i will chuckle about that one for a while.
but if it's really cold outside, and it's warm air coming out, wouldn't you be able to see it? now that's something to think about.
Maybe he should be an Engineer when he grows up. My husband is thinking of weird stuff like that all the time...haha.
