It's been decided (by me of course), spring is by far the worst season of all. That's right...it is nasty! It is only day 3 of spring and already the mucky, muddy mess is more than I can keep up with! Between the three kids and puppy there is no end to the mess in sight.
After playing in the backyard for a short time last night the kids winter boots were completely smothered in mud. I left them outside and wasn't about to touch them. This morning they couldn't wear them to school. Partly because of the mess and partly because it was BEACH DAY at school. Yup, walking to the bus stop next to snowy lawns in shorts and tanks.
When I picked them up this afternoon, they had bare feet in dripping wet shoes. Jacob opened his coat to show me that tucked away in his pocket were balled up wet muddy socks. Joel was even worse with mud all up his legs and shoes (brand new ones I might add) so full of water you could bathe a duck!
Oh, and the puppy....let's not even go there! GAH!
I even tried Calgon but it didn't take me away! It didn't take me anywhere.
I should go on American Inventor with my idea for puppy paws rubber boots. Think I would win? Hey it's better than the lotion dispenser on the toilet tissue roll...
Speaking of, AI happens to be on tonight. I'll have to make time for that!

Claire's ski jacket is runined from the dirt at school. No snow equals messy messy school yard!
Dog in back yard equals a horrendous kitchen floor. We so need to add a mud room on the side of the house!
I think the puppy rubber boots have already been invented.I'm sure I saw a picture in a mag of a dog wearing them!
Beach Day in March??? What? Sounds a little too early in the year for a day like that.
We love that show too. I was in bed this past week and really needed to go to the bathroom but being pregnant I didn't want to fuss with getting out of bed. Jeremy leans over and says "well I can always get you the handy pee garment bag in our closet" - making fun of the man on the first episode of AI who invented a garment bag that posed as a covering device for public peeing. What a weirdo...in my opinion...haha!

bav...a dug up yard...YIKES! hopefully your golden doesn't like to be outside as much as mine.
alison...I hear you. Julia's preschool play yard is all dirt. I wash her coat so often it is going to fall apart.
Trinity...it was kind of cold for that...but it ended up being very mild.
