Mindless

Sometimes a good mindless post is enjoyable and a little window into the reality of a person's life.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by what they keep in their closet and how well they keep it. (okay so they don't really say that, but it sounds good to me, so I say it. Therefore I am the 'they' in 'they say...')

Someone was directed here after doing a search for "random things in one's closet"...I know?!

So, I thought I'd entertain the odd-ness and tell you what is in my closet (my half that is-I have to share) As if you really care to know.

Here goes....

- on the top shelf of my side I have clothing folded and piled in categories such as, sweaters, jeans, pants and 'too small but still hopefull'.

- There is also an enormously puffy and frilly wedding album (so 'early nineties' style!)

- A sewing kit for all the times I DON'T sew. You never know I may start some day.

- a lint brush

- shoe boxes filled with pictures

- cookie cans filled with keepsakes.

-clothes would be a pretty obvious thing in a closet. I have clothes hanging in order by their type.

- the floor was a mess and I just recently unpacked a box that was hanging around in there really getting in my way. Before I cleaned up, I had everything in there except the kitchen sink (had the kitchen clock though...). As of today there is:

- A storage tote filled with school work and art from the kids

- a baseball bat (not sure how or why)

- an ikea towel rack still waiting to be hung.

- a shoe rack holding: 6 pairs of shoes, 8 purses and...

- my highschool graduation book (exclusive shot of eighties (early nineties) big puffy hair).

- hey, the kitchen clock is still there!

- tissue wrapping paper stuffed in a pile?

- a basket of books on how to be a good mom and juggle tasks. They worked well shelved in the closet :)

- old portraits of my kids.

- a bag full of Christmas gifts for nieces and nephes already bought!

- a travel bag and several cosmetic bags thanks to Clinique promos!

- a package of 24 valentines pencils and erasers for next year.

- Christmas card supplies left over and not put away.

- a gift for and from my mom (yes, that's two things).

- a pillow

- a bag of 'stuff' odds and ends that have no home.

Good grief. Not sure how this all fits on my side, but it does and it is not even messy.

You just never know what you are going to find. Isn't it amazing how much stuff, junk and clutter we collect and carry around with us? Oh I am so North American. Ugh! And I am not even a packrat, I am pretty good at throwing things away. Maybe not good enough.

If I was up for it, I could draw some pretty relevant spiritual parallels from this exercise.

I think it speaks for itself.

Anyone need a kitchen clock?

Oh yes, one side of one closet! Why didn't I think to use this as a T13?
