Ha, Kidding. I just wanted to say that.
Life has been asking a lot of me lately and I have recognized more than ever that when you have depleted all of your strength and resources, God's supply is just beginning. Also, prayer and sleep are key essentials to life. Easily said, not so easily lived.
GOOD NEWS for us....we took the leap and got ourselves a tent trailer...yeehaw!! We have never done anything like this before and have never really owned anything. We are super excited and a little anxious at the same time.
We seriously thought about it around income tax time but then gave up looking when everything in our price range seemed to be selling faster than we could manage. But, the thoughts resurfaced as we thought about our family and our vacation plans. Being so far away from home, visiting there is out of the question. Staying home for 4 weeks vacation is also out of the question (home is work!). We reasoned in our minds that by the time we pay for two summers of vacation we could have a trailer paid off. So, we continued our search and found a '91 Coleman tent trailer kept in excellent condition by a retired couple.
More than anything, we wanted it to create lasting and fond childhood memories for our kids. Having something that is ours as a family to strengthen our bond was what sold us in the end. Sometimes you have to think with your heart. Sometimes living with mommy and daddy is not very fun. We get busy and stressed and don't always give undivided attention.
Anyway, a hitch is being put on our van now and then we pick it up tonight. The kids have been counting down the days and are beside themselves with excitement. We even went yard-sale hopping to outfit our 'kitchen' hee hee.
Ahhhh....
Now as soon as Pernell and Margie get one, we will be able to meet half way and have one rockin' sweet time together ;)

I do hope you have as much fun as we have had! 7 years in our tent trailer while the boys were growing up! Nothing like monopoly at 9 pm while the storm rages outside and we are safe and warm inside!
Congratulations! Maybe you too will be known as trailer geeks, as Philip calls me.
That is great! Camping is the greatest. I have a lot of great memories from camping as a kid. Have fun!
Thank You! Thank you!
Yes Fred, I've already thought about the 'games cupboard' ha ha. Old Maid is on the top of the list.
Now all we need is to slap some wood panelling on our van to be good ole' fashion campers!
How wonderful!!! My hubby and I would love to do the same in a few years.
By far one of the best decisions you've ever made! You'll be making memories long after the debt is paid! This will help to bring the balance in your life you always seem to be struggling with. Can hardly wait to go camping with you next month!

I remember our tent trailer as kid. It was the best.
Camping is so awesome, I look forward to hearing of your tent trailer adventures:)
