Oh CANADA!

WOW! where did June go? I feel as though I have fast forwarded right through it. Next weekend marks July 1 and Canada's birthday. We will be in Red Deer at the Salvation Army's FORWARD event with about 400 other SAists. We are involved in a couple of different capacities. Should be fun.

After supper tonight, I took the kids and the neighbour's kids to the playground where the rest of the neighbourhood seemed to be as well. We had a great time playing for about 45 mins before we headed back home. The boys swing across the monkey bars like pros, building great upper body strength. I was feeling a little ambitious (which I haven't felt in a very long time) and thought I'd give it a try too. Yeah...okay then... It was a nice thought anyway.

Tomorrow morning we get up and head straight over to the community center for a Stampede pancake breakfast. We'll be flippin' pancakes and serving breakfast as well as helping out with kids games and crafts and such. I am also going to take the opportunity to promote our VBS.

As soon as we finish there, we have just enough time to get home and start getting ready for Julia's dance performance. The kids were also invited to a birthday party for the afternoon. Even though they can't stay for long, I can send the boys to the party (giving them something to do) while I get Julia ready. I am really looking forward to the show, I love dance.

Sunday after church we are having a picnic at Fishcreek Provinvial Park. This will kind of end official functions until the fall, which I suspect, will be here before we know it.

Only 2 1/2 days left of school for the kids. I wonder how much work I can get done in those few uninterrupted hours?
