I broke down today and got myself a good daytimer. After double-booking myself (twice) this week I realized my personal system is failing me. There was a time (while living in Ontario), that I lived by my daytimer. I carried it around with me, I scheduled everything and everyone, it held my to-do list etc. It also made me feel very 'bound'.
Since moving to the west, I still carry a daytimer around everywhere, but it is called my brain. And, up unitl now it has worked well. I even have my own personal phonebook up there! I do still use a calendar, but it is at home on the wall which is no go to me when I am out and about. Lately I have been overwhelmed with 'stuff' and bombarded with dates, appointments, commitments and things to do. I have also become forgetful and it really sucks!
I hope I can get back into the habbit of a daytimer. I am so funny that if it is not laid out in a comfortable fashion, if it is too small, or too big, or too detailed I just won't write in it or use it. This one looks good and I am hoping for the best.
This really stretches me beyond my wiring because I am more of a 'fly-by-the -seat-of-my-pants-spontaneous-spur-of -the-moment type of person. I just can't help it, it's me! And I'm quite okay with this even though I sometimes create stress for a certain someone ;)

By the way, I also broke down and BOUGHT mini cupcakes for Julia's class for her birthday instead of MAKING them which I was going to add to my endless list for today. What is happening to me???

Hey Leslie!
You should get in touch with Shawna and get one of those fancy organizer/phones she had last night. It seems to work well for her :) Thanks again for last night! I'd be interested in starting up some more scrapbooking too. It's been awhile since I've really sat down and did it.
