Happy Easter

I know it is not Easter until tomorrow, but we always celebrate it on the Saturday (today) with our secular traditions. The kids woke up this morning to find their baskets of goodies waiting for them. Now I am getting ready for their egg hunt. They are given a max amount of eggs they can find and then they have to stop. Everything has to be equal!

This afternoon we are heading over to the community center for a family easter event and egg hunt. The kids and I are also going to get creative and do some painting today, can't wait!

Oh, I got a few surprises this morning too. Rocky was sick through the night, very sick. All my fault for giving him that ham bone after making soup. You live and learn right?

Happy Easter to you as well. I am doing homework and baking all weekend. My kids are too big and grew out of the easter bunny phase, so now they get a chocolate and we still make cinnamon buns every easter morning

We used to do the whole secular thing on Saturday mornings as well. When the girls were really young and couldn't read, we'd make a chart with colours and the number of eggs they were allowed to find for each colour. It was kind of an educational and fun time. If they found an extra 'colour' they had to leave for one of the others. Now they gets their goodies on Sunday morning for breakfast. This will be our last Easter as a complete family....boo, hoo!
