7 months later and the 'hockey mom' season is over. The season was rough with loss after loss however the kids maintained such a positive attitude becoming quick friends. Through the losses they improved as a team leading them to a 4 & 0 win at their final tournament in Edmonton. It was an exciting thing to be a part of and the feeling in the air among the parents was electric. I was so proud of my boy (and the rest of the team) for workin' it. Way to go Joel!
So his moment to shine is put on hold for a while, giving the spot light to Jake. For the first time ever he is a part of organized sports (YAY). His soccer season starts tomorrow with evaluations. We have never been a part of soccer before, and while we would welcome a break, we are doing it for him and hope it is a positive exxperience for everyone.
I guess that now makes me a soccer mom...classic suburbia!
