Eyes WIDE Open

So last night was interesting to say the least~I couldn't sleep! For those who really know me, know that this is never a problem for me. I can sleep standing up for crying out loud and am always asleep before my head hits the pillow.

Last night was different, I found myself staring into the darkness more alert than during the day. My mind was racing yet very clear. You know that excitement on Christmas Eve that keeps you awake? It felt kinda like that only way more intense. Very weird.

The only thing I can pin point as the cause is caffeine overdose. While Lauren and I were shopping last night, she treated me at Starbucks, thanks Lauren. It wasn't my fault. I asked for decaff. I got decaff. It was cold. I took it back. He checked the problem. It was expired. He felt awful. Gave me a grande bold coffee and free pastry of my choice. I drank it. It was good. I got a buzz. I couldn't sleep.

Now I have lots of thoughts just waiting to pour out of me, but I have to work.

I'm tired!
