AHH! (sigh of relief)

The great big moving truck came and went yesterday, carting away all 130 boxes as well as the many doo-dads that don't fit into the crates! As soon as they drove away, I flopped into bed completely exhausted from an 'all-nighter.' Okay well not all night, by 3am Wednesday morning (still finding more to pack) we were dropping and took a sleep break until 7am. We had 1 hr to finish the last few boxes and get the kids where they needed to go. All week we thought we were 'basically' done, then the more you pack the more you realize is left to pack! We are still finding things we forgot.

Now our house is bare and there is an annoying buzz in my ears from our voices echoing off the walls. Of course the kids think this is very amusing and talk even louder than before (if that is possible). I found myself after them for even talking, "shhh, you guys are hurting my head!" I would nag, but it didn't work so I gave up and released them to be normal kids again.

As far as they are concerned, who needs toys, books, games, TVs, movies, computers or video games............they have an empty house to run around and squeel in. Yay for me hee hee!

Remind me never to move again.

I say that every time! Mind you every time we move we have a kid... so since I want more kids... just joking we're not going to move... not joking about the more kids!

You really are a trooper! More kids?!! Why the heck not! Have a few more, you're still young and full of energy.

Aren't you used to moving yet? We moved four times last year. We are so done now. I am going to die in this house. There is something electric and exciting about moving though. The new, the unknown....what fun. Hope you don't go crazy in the next little while. Are you flying or driving out? And when do you actually make the trek?

I know, it sounds rediculous for an officer (pastor) to say I don't want to move again. I would like to start a new trend in the army of long term or permanent moves. We have been lucky, we haven't moved much. We moved to Bermuda in '97 but had no kids so there wasn't much stuff-no big deal. Then we moved here from Bermuda in 2000 and that's it! Not bad.

We are flying out on Thursday. Our van was picked up yesterday so not only is our house empty, we have no wheels!

It is an exciting feeling though...I can't wait.

I am finding that I am doing more reading now (now, it's been 1 day, ha ha) and getting to bed on time without the little black beast that is sooo tempting to waste my time.

At least you don't have to truck it in a U-Haul! Please let us know if we can do anything for you. My email is lorijolliffe@yahoo.ca and you can get my number from me that way. Oh, and there is a Starbucks just up the street from your new place in case you didn't already know that.
