Peace in the Storm

So I am scrubbing burnt chicken curry off the pot in the sink, the kids are in the room beside me doing everything (exactly everything) that I asked them NOT to do. They are squeeling/schreeching/laughing/crying (no, the noise is not what I was on them about) while playing wrecklessly on the couch, the dishwasher is going, the washer and dryer are both going, and I decide to add to the noise and put some music on. Then amidst the commotion I found my peace and was able to worship and pray oblivious to any distractions.

Listening to this song brought solace, comfort, perspective and challenged me in my sacrifice.

Take my heart, I lay it down
At the feet of you who's crowned
And take my life, I'm letting go
I lift it up to you who's throned.

And I will worship You, Lord
Only You, Lord
And I will bow down before You
Only You, Lord

Take my feet, take my fear
All I have I'm leaving here
Be all my hopes, be all my dreams
Be all my delights, be my everything

And it's just you and me here now
Only You and me here now

You should see the view when it's only You.
