Quick Summary

Okay so I haven't been overly active with this blog business lately. Truth is, I rarely have time, get time, make time to get to the computer and if and when I do, I usually feel guilty about it...thinking there is something else I should be doing.

I have been busy with life. Last Friday the kids were off school, again. I had my first parent-teacher interviews at our new school. I left feeling very proud of my boys and how well they have adapted to change. Although its been rough at home through the transition, they are settling in quite nicely.

My 5 year-old asked me, "Mommy, can you come to my class to be a parent volunteer like the other moms...and wear something pretty?" I guess even at 5 he has an image to protect in his little posse. Oh the pressure, what on earth will I wear?

After the interviews, we rewarded them by taking them (and a friend) to see "Robots" in the theatre. Another reminder as to why we never go to the movies, one afternoon set us back $80!!!!

This week started out well but my feelings of accomplishment soon went sour on Monday morning. I was sitting at my desk by 9:00 am ready to get the church finances all up to date. By 11:00 am I left, completely frustrated, ready to explode. My computer kept dying on me, I found myself starring at a blank moniter, almost wishing it into being. What a hassle it is to try and work efficiently when your hardware is so inadequate. ARRRGGHHH!!!!!!

Since then we have been busy gettting ready for Good Friday. We decided to have a home church fellowship at our place. I am looking forward to it and hope that it turns out the way I am picturing it in my mind. There has been so much around here to get in order, not to mention the refreshment side of it. Steve's been a doll, and took care of all the mounds of laundry for me while I took another stab at the office situation yesterday. Let's just say I managed (after stealing the moniter from his computer).

Last night I went with Jayne to a "stampin up" (card-making and scrappin' stuff) party with her friends. It was so good to get out for myself. I spent way too much money but it is for a good cause---my own sanity. I need a hobby. Speaking of, I am signing up for a pottery class. I have always wanted to try my hand at the wheel. Maybe I have high hopes but I am hoping to make some rockin dishes!

Today is a busy day I gotta get movin. Tomorrow starts the first day of spring break for the boys, here's hopin for a great week!

This update was good to hear - thanks. How hard it must be for kids to move across the country! Glad your boys are doing good at school - pray that will transition to home soon too. How is wee Julia doing?

Glad you enjoyed time for you. So important for our sanity! Keep us posted on pottery - I'm extremely jealous! Enjoy!
