One week ago today Julia fell out of our lving room window. Nothing could have prepared me for it as I stood outside frozen, watching her fall to the ground. My heart was in my throat causing me to see things in slow motion. Within the few seconds that the entire event happen, I felt like I was experiencing one of those terrifying dreams where you are screaming for help but no one can hear you...you are muted as fear rips through you. The feeling of running through deep water where your legs are only moving a fraction of the pace they need to in order to save the victi
m or run from a predator. You get the point. So there I was, standing outside waiting for puppy to do his 'chores' when the kids blissfully came to talk to me through the window. But Julia, in her sweet innocence put pressure on the screen and it popped out onto the ground a second later she followed. She was pretty stunned and strangely quiet. Before long she was holding her limp arm letting us know how badly it hurt. Steve brought her to urgent care and I put the boys to bed. They were pretty shaken with all that drama! 5 yr old (who opened the window) was crying and asked if the doctors would say it was his fault. We had a prayer together, I assured them that it was just an accident and that she would be fine.
Four hours later she came home with cast, sling and broken arm. A week later she is healing well and should have the cast off in 2 weeks. Thank God. The healing process for bones in little ones is amazing and I am so grateful it wasn't worse.

Oh I love the look on her face in this picture. She is too cute. Poor girl, like you needed that on your plate. Life happens though! Thankfully she will be out of the cast soon.
So glad to see you blogging regularly!!!!
Poor thing! How is she now?
she is fine but it has gotten in the way of summer. We are so hot and had plans of splash parks, pools, and sprinklers, but she can't get it wet! Wouldn't normally be so bad but it is soo hot these days!
