Is it Possible?

we all know the reality of cliques. some of you are in them and some have experienced what it feels like not to be in one! in a group there are the 'in' crowd and the 'outsiders' (or so it seems. i am coming to understand that there are not in and outers rather just different groups of friends). friendships develop and when they do, the relationship becomes more and more comfortable, making new relationships harder to form. they require more effort which many don't feel the need to give afterall, they have their friends.

I came across the thought tonight that there are cliques in the blogsphere. could that be? is that even possible? Sure, there are different camps of blogs but cliques? Hmmmm....

there are a whack of mommy bloggers....are there cliques in there? religious/spiritual bloggers...cliques? all other blog variations? The cute, funny, serious, boring (yawn)....

It is funny how we automatically just move into the groups. It does happen on here too in the blogs world. Some I read and some I don't, and I am sure other people feel the same way.
Certain things interest them more than others-that is why they fit better with some people over others.

*Hey....glad you bought a new one. I am very happy for you. It's about time.

I have def seen groups/cliques of bloggers...the ones with the same people on their friends list. And I actually started out that way. I had four people in my buddies list and they we had the same links/people. We were a little group and then we eventually started growing and we all meet new people/bloggers. I am really happy about who I have now in my links list. They all are different, unique people and I love them all!

I see the grouping happening.. but I don't think it's in a BAD way, per se. I just assume most people who have bloggers listed, know them in person or have some other connection. I don't think most people are exlusive on purpose.

Maybe that's just an excuse b/c I'm a loner without a clique. *massive tear drops*

i only actually know one person with a blog, my niece, so everyones blog i read, are strangers to me. the bulk of the blogs i read are the mommy blogs, which i enjoy, but i have quite a range of other reads as well. if there a cliques out there, i guess i'm ignoring them as i just barge in, read and comment.

my conclusion is this,

There are circles that people run in in the blogworld but not to the exclusion of allowing others to join the convo. Most people are more than willing to receive new visitors and comments. It is really quite exciting, I love it.

Personally, I have some that I check everyday, some every other day, and some once in a while. Usually it is a time factor and not a clique thing.
