We got a decent amount of snow on Tuesday night. The kids (and Steve) were tres excited. Heck, Steve even dug out the Christmas CD's. It was so peaceful to watch as we all knelt in the window with our chins resting in the palm of our hands. Julia smiles and says, "I just love winter mommy."
So, for the past two days, the kids have come home from school, loaded up on candy from their halloween stash and then hit the hill in our backyard with their crazy carpets. What an awesome way to burn off that steam. Today the entire neighbourhood is out there and they have built a ramp at the bottom of the hill. Problem is there is not enough snow to cover the paved walkways at the bottom of the hill and ramp. Someone is seriously going to scrape their face!
I hear squeling and screaming don't know if I should be concerned. For now I'm going to stand in the window and 'smile and wave'.

no worries, it will go and get warm again. And then all winter long we will get nice warm chinooks giving us regular breaks from the cold and snow...
This is what makes me love winter so much.
I am ready to decorate for Christmas already....

Crazy Carpets......u used to love tobogganing with mine....i would be afraid i would break my neck now tho. ha! It snowed here the other day for a little bit. nothing that stayed though....at least not yet.
