What Can I Say?

Today was a pretty smooth day (like butter).

The kids had no school today and we enjoyed our time together. Because there wasn't school, we took out sleeping bags and an air mattress last night and they camped out in our room. This morning, Steve made them homemade waffles with his new waffle maker. Dee-lish!

I've been listening to this CD a lot. Been thinking about 'nice' and how 'nice guys/girls' are often mistaken for being soft. Sometimes nice people are targets for ridicule and mistreated because they are seen as soft and weak. When in reality, it takes a stronger person to be nice, I think. It is easier to react defensively than to control one's words and actions.

yeah!

Hi Leslie,

I just stumbled across your blog and read the first post. Interesting. As a nice guy, I know that nice guys finish last because they're pretty much WEAK. :)

Like the pics - looks like you have a cool little family. Also, I like waffles, so the hubby just got two cool points.

That sort of story makes me want to get married and have kids. But I doubt my wife would like my girlfriends.

Laugh, Lament, Love!

i don't think that it's so much as it's harder to be nice as it is harder to do the right thing for the right reason, does that make any sense?

Yes, makes sense.
