May Days

This month of May has been extremely busy for us with each evening and weekend pretty much scheduled. I am looking forward to a change in pace which is scheduled to begin on July 2nd!

Last evening we went to a Jack and Jill baby shower for Tammy and Jeremy (who we are just getting to know) and had a chance to hang out with a few from our community. It was so different being on the other side of the fellowship. By that I mean, I wasn't the host and the one busy in the kitchen and therefore got a chance to really visit. It felt awesome and I learned something about myself. I am definitely a Martha as opposed to being a Mary. I am usually the one in the kitchen, keeping busy and 'facilitating' the fellowship more than being a part of it.

I am quite excited that Phil and Ashley are coming to visit...YAY! At the same time, I feel bad because we are busy the whole time they are here and may get cheated on some quality time.

The weather has been incredible this week with record highs. The neighbourhood kids (including ours) have been playing in the water all week for some relief from the heat. They mostly have been having water gun fights but one day they all met in one back yard for a slip in slide 'party'.

I had another great visit with my neighbour on Thursday. I really like her.

Steph and I are halfway through our course (it's not really a course but I don't know what else to call it) on Wednseday nights. I am learning some things about myself some good and a lot bad. I enjoy our evening together.

I gotta go do something fun with the kids today. Still deciding though. Hope you have a 'funtastic' long weekend!
