Humbled

Tonight I ventured out with three others from my church on the street ministry van. We made and served grilled cheese sandwiches, soup and coffee. While it was a mild night campared to a few weeks back and weeks yet to come, it was cold. I was cold. Passing out the warmth in a cup was a good thing to do, yet still so small. I was humbled to see that after their bellies were filled they went on, back to their 'home' under the overpass while I left in the warm truck, going to a warm home, with extra blankets and an endless supply of hugs.

I am so blessed and want to be able to give of myself more freely to 'the least of these'.

I hear you! Unless you work with it, you can't really imagine it, can you?
