Refreshed

Got back today from a wonderful relaxing retreat. I feel well rested, and refreshed. What a treat to not have to cook or clean or pack lunches! I missed my kids though, a lot. More than ever before (and I have left them many times).

I cleaned up today at Wal-Mart. Didn't intend to but that is always the way it goes. I had to pick up a gift for Julia to take to a birthday party tomorrow and another one next week. I did have a few things on hand (which I usually do) but this girl is not into Barbies. I walked into a beautiful clearance sale and stocked up on a whole season's worth of birthday party gifts for boys and girls! I am quite excited to have my shelf full and done with.

I have been wanting to sew another project sew badly lately (gag!) . I picked up some material for a simple summer dress for Julia. That is her favorite thing to wear during the summer. So far I can only sew for her because I am not ready to fuss with waist bands and zippers and such. Not to mention the fact that the boys are starting to get picky with what they wear.

Tomorrow is a big night for us and the rest of the hockey team parents. It is our fundraiser (silent auction) at Schanks. Should be a fun night out. We managed to sell all our tickets giving us a chance to hang out with a few friends as well.
