Today's Thoughts

The Christmas 'down-low' is always nice, as is retreat shortly after. However, both of them happen to come at month-end, year-end and budget prep time. Yikes!! I've been thinking lately that I would really like to hire a personal assistant to help me get caught up. Only problem is, I can't pay anyone. Ha, I'll keep dreaming.....whatever.

A maid would be just as appreciated (maybe even more so) only I can't pay a maid either. Geez, aren't there people out there just dying to cook and clean for me for free??

Am I ever glad I stocked up on birthday gifts. Just got our 5th (in 3 weeks) birthday invitation yesterday. I am now thinking the stash will only last a couple of months instead of an entire year.

We've been hit with the flu bug. It sucks and this is the worst possible day for it to happen. Joel felt sick all through his hockey practice last night, but the trouper kept going and kept up until he got home...then he spewed his reserve. nice. I guess I can't complain, it has been over a year since anyone in the house has had it. I just hope Julia stays strong and healthy, if she has to miss her friend's birthday tomorrow, she will be so upset as she has been counting the days!

All of my work (that I am quite heavy into this week) is at the office so I won't be able to get to it. I may have to sew someting while Joel lays down beside me. The tricky part will be getting him ready and out the door to pick up Julia, drop her off at babysitters, go get Jacob bring him to dentist then lunch then back to school. Then pack everyone up again to bring Jacob to drum lessons. Steve is in all-day meetings today and tomorrow so this will be interesting. Joel says it 'hurts bad' everytime he gets up. Poor thing.

I've been thinking that my thoughts and life are just too boring to blog about. I have nothing interesting or valuable to offer for your reading pleasure, so why do you keep reading...gah! Anyway, I don't want to lose my archives so will not delete and keep plucking away. Maybe God will interevene and make me a great prophet or something cool like that, then there will be soemthing worth reading here.

Thank goodness you finally posted. Hope this bug passes soon. If you need to pass on the b-day we can re-schedule. I would not want to sadden Julia. We are still sickies over here too.
I like your posts, they are not boring.

You know how to get a hold of me when you need help where I can give it...I'm busy helping someone else the first part of February but after that I should be able to help.
