To be expected...

- late nights mean cranky mornings.

- not every day is a good day.

- sledding down a big, bumpy hill means squeels and laughter.

- squeels and laughter are great for emotional release.

- having a day off creates a short week.

- a short week means extra busy, trying to squeeze 5 days worth into 4.

- not everyone will like me and the way I do things all of the time.

- when you don't walk your dog, he is going to be hyper.

We had a fantastic time yesterday sledding and celebrating a birthday. I overcame my fear to a certain degree and headed down the hill more than once. Weee-boy! It was very bumpy and I got some serious air. I thought a few times I would flip but I held tight and was okay. It wasn't that great for the tail bone but hey, it was worth it. What fun! What laughter! Took my breath away....literally! I really need to do that more often. Especially the hike back up the hill...yikes! All of these exclamation points are making me feel like Elaine!!! (sorry couldn't resist).

Leslie, I learned a long time ago from my father (who was a simple yet very wise man) that you can't please people all the time. Yes, there are times when we may need to compromise or agree to disagree but, if it means changing our values and doing what we think is not best for ourselves, our families, or others, then it's not worth it in the end.

PS. Allison's face is not getting any better...new meds, follow-up visit on Thursday - no school until dr. determines what it is ( in other words, make sure it's not contagious...)

Well Leslie, I wish we would have had snow here on the weekend.. The kids has Monday off school for an inservice and Steven took Sunday Night off due to Daytona 500... was promising to be a great weekend... Austin was going to a hockey team mates house to skate on their outdoor rink.. was really looking great. they went inside after skating and were playing a game??? lets pick Austin up and drop him (his team mate is a year older), Well when Jake dropped Austin Austin went over on his foot very much so the wrong way.. Sunday night was spent at the IWK and we managed to make it home at 10 pm with a cast and three broken bones in his foot.... here to hoping that little children bones heal quicker than adult bones... Austin cannot seem to master the crutches so I fear we are in for a long 3-6 weeks.. here's to three I pray! Glad you guys had a great weekend.. nothing better than screaming like a girl going down a hill way too fast for words !!!
