The Champions!

I can't breathe! I can't breathe!!
Nail biting weekend.
Made it to the finals today.
Insanely intense.
A neck and neck, no giving up fight for the title.
One minute left in the game and we are down 2-1.
29 seconds left we score.
The clock runs out, it goes to a shoot out.
Crowds are wild.
It is one for one. One saves the other saves, one scores the other scores.
Now on round nine it is 2 for 2. The other team shoots first, we save it.
Joel gets his one and only chance at the shoot out.
The game now depends on him.
He shoots, he scores!!!
The game and tournament has been won!
The fans go wild.
Mommy cries.
A coach runs out and lifts Joel up on his shoulders.
The team celebrates as a group.
What a team! What an effort!
No better way to end the last game of the season.
Good Canadian hockey!

CONGRATULATIONS JOEL! A few weeks ago I told you that you sure looked like a hockey player with no front teeth - now you have proven to everyone on your team and the other leagues that you not only look like one but you play like a hockey player! Not even some of the greatest players have made a shoot out goal and the winning one at that!

Thanks!

The road trip was okay, not great health wise. We didn't need a bucket but Jacob sure was sick and we needed to run out and get him some advil to bring his fever down.
Didn't eat all weekend either--this stomach flu is awful.
