Pet Peeves

I have a pet peeve. Well actually, I have several but there is one in particualr pet peeve that I must vent because I am on the edge.

Ever have someone 'in your grill' meaning in your space, in your face...way too close when they talk to you???!!! GOSH!! That drives me close to insanity.

I love to talk with you, I don't mind being close to you either. But if I can see my reflection in your EYEBALLS, then you are too close. When someone leans into me, almost leaning ON ME knocking me over, I tend to get annoyed (sorry). When I am feeling that way I begin to back up a bit so I can see the whole face and not just the nose. When I did that the other day the person kept moving closer! (and it wasn't even someone I know too well).

So all you HR people...is that a disrespect of someone's space??

Last year when my son was in kindergarten, there was a boy who was always in the 'personal space' of the other students. When he would get too close the other students would get annoyed, fights would happen then everyone would get in trouble. Thankfully the teacher talked to him and his parents saying there is a limit of how close you can get before it is disrespectful.

Whew I feel much better now.

What pet peeves do you have??

**please note: if you are reading this blog and have met me in person, I am not referring to you and have never had a problem with you being too close so please don't be afraid to continue to talk to me. lol. it was a semi-stranger **

Oh boy that annoys me to death. I am sorry for you.
When we went for our flu shots the other day the may behind me in line kept rubbing up against me, and I would move ahead until I could not move any more. Finally I turned sideways with both hands on my hips and my purse swinging all over the place.
That taught him. If you act crazy they leave you alone;)

One of my pet peeves is when someone is not doing the speed limit. Just the other day I was in a 55mph zone behind a person going 35...it was driving me insane!

i've got people on cell phone issues, but i could just go on and on so i won't even start. i'm usually ok about someone in my space, if they get to close, i step on their feet!

I hate the too close thing too - but my pet peeve is gross...so i apologise in advance.
I HATE it when someone scratches their inner ear (we all get itchy ears at some time) and then takes their finger out and investigates...its disgusting! Seriously I am not nuts - people do this all the time.

it bothers me sooo much when people pick there nails...or chew on them. My mother does it all the time...and i can hear it, even if i can't see her. I think it annoys her that i notice so easily. Carlin also get's bothered when i pull her hand from her face. It's just my mega ears.

HAHAHA!!! That is a very annoying thing isn't it! Like Seinfeld...the "Close talker" episode! hee hee! My pet peeve is people who think they can get you to come back to the office when you're on break because they just showed up and need something THIS MINUTE. Joy. That and neighbours who are looking for a reason to call the police on you. The ones I live next to (duplex) are not very well liked in the neighbourhood for this very reason. If you don't like living in "kiddie central" then MOVE I say!

Shelley...I don't remember that episode, I am going to have to look through our collection and see if we have that one.

I also am very annoyed at people who have all the answers, they are never wrong.

I hear you Leslie, I know a few people who apparently have never been wrong a day in their lives.

The "Close Talker" Seinfeld episode was early on...Judge Reinhold was the guest star. He took Jerry's parents out on tours of the city and was a better son than Jerry. I think this might have also been the "Schlinder's List" episode where Jerry makes out during Schlinder's list and misses the whole movie, which irks his parents greatly.
