HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!

My first born is 9 today! Nine years ago I was waddling around Bermuda waiting for this overdue baby to be born. The hospital care was great and every few hours a lady would come around offering warm drinks. I Had my first taste of Ovaltine and then chose it each time she came back. Yum.

Jacob's party was a while back, but we are having dinner and birthday cake tonight. He had his heart set on getting his ear pierced with his birthday money, and that is exactly what he did! He thinks it is 'hot' and is quite pleased with his choice!

While getting his back pack ready last night, I looked in his school agenda and noticed that for today he had printed, "Jacob's B-day!" After seeing he marked his own special day, I tucked a little birthday surprise in his lunch bag to let him know he is special and thought of! I made a card with a little note, and put a candy necklace and pencil in a birthday cello bag with ribbon!

We gave him his long awaited present this morning and he is wearing it now.

Jacob is in his second year of drum lessons and is practicing almost daily now. He is quite amazing actually. I love to hear him play.
