In no particular order, these things have been flooding my thoughts today...
1. So much for the birthday gift cupboard. The two invitations this week cleaned me out.
2. My ineffectiveness.
3. The hardship/heartache/toils of parenting. Not sure which is worse, living through the 'growing up' years or parenting through them.
4. The value of supportive friends.
5. The importance of focusing on the positive things in life.
6. Bread & Butter Pickles.

How do you figure you are ineffective?
Oh boy, just depends on the day really.
I wish I had answers and solutions for the questions friends are asking and the struggles they are going through but I don't really, and it makes me feel ineffective.
Sometimes it is as simple as trying to keep house and family and work and meeting needs in each of those areas. Having so many things and people to think about and end up feeling like I am not accomplishing much, leaving me feeling ineffetive.
Maybe I am not actually ineffective, and just the way I felt driving home today.
